Larry served his local church in Bern Switzerland for 7 years working as a full time assistant pastor for the youth work and church worship from 1993 - 2000. It was during the early years of service that the band 7th element was formed. The songs that formed were mostly created out of prayer and worship environments. This continues to be so. There were so many ministry opportunities opening up, that the band was contemplating full time music ministry. That's when in Sept. 1998 that Larry was hit by a drunk driver, which had gradually influenced his health for the worse. Chronic neck and back pain were the result, which served as a deciding factor for him to give up his full time pastoral work. And from 2000 - till current, he is still unable to work more than 40%. This strain has taken his family of 6 through many trying times, but the band members, family and friends have provided continued prayer and financial support. Larry is currently teaching religion 40%.
